Twenty typefaces that changed
the world

A third year uni project

Featuring a dust jacket doubling as a poster, the book has been designed around a typeface of my choice, Julien; a very playful and geometric typeface loosely based on the European avant-garde art and design era. I riffed off the ‘playful’ verb and included imagery of children playing as well as building block toys. Their forms reminded me of Julien’s structure. Throughout the book, I have used the typeface avant garde. I wanted to create a book that was quite concise and minimalist, to complement the strong geometry Julien is made of.

Unable to complete as a physical book due to Covid.
